Helambu Trek: Helambu is a High Land Village in Nepal, which stands around 80 km away from the Capital city of Nepal; Kathmandu. This is a short Trek of 9 Days including arrival and departure.

This Trek is specially programmed for visitors having very less time and the Trek cost is also relatively cheaper. On this Helambu Trek, we will hike for around 7-8 days.

Similarly, Our short and beautiful Trek starts from a nearby city; Sundarijal (1,390 m (4,560 ft). We will hike from Sundarijal and trek past a beautiful village called Chisapani. We will also walk past a small water dam. Furthermore, Sundarijal has become a famous place for the people living in the city to breathe some fresh air and spent quality time from noise.

Moreover, Helambu is a small village almost in a remote area; with a mixture of Sherpa and Hyolmo People. These People mostly follow Buddhism and are influenced by Tibetan culture.

Furthermore, Situated on top of a hill surrounded by dense forest gives sight to many mountains. You will see the Views of the Gosaikunda and Langtang Range Mountains. On this Helambu Trek, you will be passing through a dense forest of Rhododendrons; Which is the national flower of Nepal.

Listening to the songs of birds enjoying the beautiful nature and biodiversity; we will slowly trek and reach our final destination of this Helambu Trek; Helambu Village.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1300m)

    On this day you will be landed at the Capital City of Nepal-Kathmandu (1300m/4265 ft). It is the only International Airport of Nepal. You will be received by Sherpa Himalaya Representative.

    Then with a brief introduction you will be welcomed by flower Garland. You will be Taken to your Hotel where you can rest and freshen up to keep away Jet Lag. You will get a nearby location map from hotel reception and you can explore around.

  • Day 02: Drive to Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani (2300m/7544 ft): Drive 1 hour, Trek: 4 hours

    Today we will drive 30 mins away from Kathmandu to nearby countryside; Sundarijal. Sundarijal is the gateway of Shivapuri National Park.

    As we reach sundarijal we will start our hike towards Chisapani. The rail will be all through the dense forest of Shivapuri. You trek will be 4-5 hours long.

    Chisapani is a beautiful village from where you will see beautiful view of surrounding mountains such as Mt. Ganesh and Mt. Dorje Lhakpa etc

  • Day 03: Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m/8022ft): 7 hours

    We will head towards Kutumsang as we finish our breakfast. Today will be a long day trek. Our trek will normally be 6-7 Hours long.

    Today your trails will be filled with Langtang Range Mountains, Meadows, and Fields. These are the main attraction of today’s Trail

  • Day 04: Trek from Kutumsang to Thadepati (3650m/11972ft): 6 hours

    After a beautiful exploration of Kutumsang we will head towards Thadepati.  From the ridge of todays trail you can see breathtaking view Gosaikunda Peak and Langtang Mountain.

    You will also come across rhododendron forest. We will reach Thadepati after continuous walk of around 6 hours.

  • Day 05: Trek to Tarkeghyang (2560m/8397ft): 6 hours

    Today we will trek to our final destination Tarkeghyang. It is a beautiful village with small lodges with well preserved monasteries.

    The Village is mostly filled with Sherpa People and Hyolmo people. You will need 6 hours to reach Tarkegyang.

  • Day 06: Back from Tarkeghyang to Sermathang

    Today after beautiful time in Tarkeghyang we descend back to Sermathang. We will come across some small and lovely apple farms.

  • Day 07: Trek to Malemchi Puul Bazaar: Drive to Kathmandu: 3/4 hours trek/ 2 hours drive

    Today after we finish our breakfast we will Trek down to Melamchi Puul. This is the main center of this region. As we reach here we will have our lunch and come back Kathmandu by drive.

  • Day 08: Free Day in Kathmandu

    Today will be a freeday. You can explore around and make your shopping if  needed.

    Today you can explore the UNESCO Heritage sites around which are within very short range.

    3. Kathmandu Durbar square
    4. Pashupatinath Temple
    5. Patan Durbar Square
    6. Bhaktapur Durbar Square

  • Day 09: Final Departure

    Today morning you Sherpa Himalaya representative will be there at your hotel for last meet. You will be dropped at airport considering airport time.
