Naya Kang Peak (5,844m), with its other name Ganja La Chuli lies in the lap of the Langtang Region, the most perfect alpine landscape in the world regarded as the second largest national park in Nepal. Langtang National Park has healthy forests of rhododendron, fir, blue and chirr pine and birch. Leopard, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, rhesus and languor monkeys and the endangered red panda are the wildlife live in the park.

The surroundings of Langtang valley are high peaks with great appeal. The British mountaineer Bill Tillman described Langtang as the most beautiful valley in the world, since then it has gained its popularity among the nature lovers. In addition, the region is also popular for alpine plants. The valley is dominated by the Tibetan origin Tamang community. Naya Kanga Peak rises to the west of Ganja La, and is a popular but difficult mountain to climb.
