The Everest Panorama Trek is a perfect short Himalayan adventure that offers a glimpse of the legendary Everest Base Camp route while staying at a comfortable and moderate altitude. Ideal for families, beginners, and trekkers with limited time, this journey combines spectacular mountain views, rich Sherpa culture, and peaceful trekking trails in the Everest region.
The highlight of this trek is Tengboche Monastery (3,860 m / 12,660 ft), one of the most sacred Buddhist monasteries in the Everest region. From here, trekkers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of some of the world’s most iconic peaks, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawache, and Kwangde, along with many surrounding Himalayan giants.
This trek is especially designed for those who wish to experience the beauty of the Everest region without trekking to extreme altitudes. Since the maximum elevation is below 4,000 meters, the risk of altitude sickness is significantly reduced, making it suitable for beginners and less experienced trekkers.
The journey begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport, offering stunning aerial views of hills, valleys, and snow-capped mountains. From Lukla, the trail passes through charming Sherpa villages, suspension bridges, and lush forests before reaching Namche Bazaar, where an acclimatization day includes short hikes and exploration.
Continuing deeper into the Khumbu region, the route leads to Tengboche, a spiritual and cultural landmark surrounded by dramatic Himalayan scenery. The monastery, originally built in 1916, holds great religious significance for the Sherpa community and has been rebuilt several times after natural disasters, yet continues to stand as a symbol of peace and resilience.
Along the trail, trekkers enter the Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, experiencing diverse flora and fauna including rhododendron forests, Himalayan flowers, and even rare wildlife like the red panda if lucky. The route also passes traditional Sherpa villages such as Khumjung and Khunde, offering insight into local culture, lifestyle, and hospitality.
The Everest Panorama Trek is a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and Himalayan adventure—an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Everest region without the demands of high-altitude trekking.

Additional Information
Due to recent decision made by Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), there is no direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. So, you will have to make a 4-5 hours long drive to Ramechap from Kathmandu and then the next morning you will have flight to Lukla which will be 15 minute long.
Ramechap is a small village untouched by modern facility so the accommodation there will be a normal hotel.Share Your Experience
