The Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek – 17 Days is a truly spectacular Himalayan journey...
Tukuche Peak is a wonderful mountain just in front of Dhaulagiri I and the Annapurna range near the Kali Gandaki George. It is located in the wild (hidden) Mustang valley – a fantastic trekking destination in the North of Nepal. This journey is a great combination of challenging climbing and impressive trekking.
Before the actual climb, we trek through the deep gorge of Kali Gandaki. We start by driving from Pokhara to Beni, continue to Tatopani (the hot springs) and then to Ghasa and Tukuche, following the trekking trail of the Annapurna conservation area. Magnificent mountain views and valleys await!
After this leisurely phase, we approach our main goal. We attempt the summit of Tukuche Peak (6920m) after about 4/5 days preparation at Base Camp and High Camp via the North East Ridge. Once we set up Base Camp we will begin to establish the route and acclimatize. Tukuche was first climbed by a Swiss Team in 1969. Due to its remote location and the seriousness of the terrain, the area is not that frequently visited by commercial trekking and climbing groups which makes it an even more appealing adventure.
After the climbing phase, we descend to Jomsom for some rest and take a flight out to Pokhara and continue on to Kathmandu by what means are most convenient. Sherpa Himalaya Treks & Expedition offers you a full board package including the climbing permit from the NMA and all other necessary logistics – from arrival in Kathmandu up to your departure. We organize your accommodation in Kathmandu as well as throughout your trek, our cooks freshly prepare you nutritious meals throughout the climbing period and experienced and professional trekking and climbing guides accompany you on the trek as well as the climb. In addition, we can organize any sightseeing in and around Kathmandu. Upon your request, we can also offer only base camp service (including the climbing permit) where the climber may arrange all required logistics for any part of the climb above base camp.
