Mt.Lhotse (8,516m/ 27,939ft ) lies about 3 km south of Mount Everest, separated by the South Col. In fact, Lhotse means South Face. Three peaks that make up the Lhotse massif are: Lhotse East or middle, Lhotse Shar and Lhotse. Immediately south of Mount Everest lies the long east-west crest, and the summits of the two mountains are connected by the South Col. South Face of Lhotse is the most technical face of Lhotse. The Lhotse South Face is also one of the largest mountain faces in the world. The section during the climb, which has been unanimously declared the most dangerous, is the Khumbu Icefall. Both Mt Everest and Lhotse share the same base camp. In fact, Lhotse is a part of Everest massif itself.However, Lhotse is considered to be an independent mountain. After several unsuccessful attempts, the South Face was successful climbed only in 1984. This beautiful massif also holds immense promise as it is little developed and offers fascinating opportunities. Lhotse can be climbed either from Everest Base Camp or nearby Chhukung. Being an 8,000er, the Lhotse Expedition encounters many obstacles including high altitudes, harsh weather conditions and even sheer exhaustion.   • Domestic flight Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu for members
  • Schedule flight Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu for Liaison Officer and Nepali staff.
  • Baggage allowance of 50 KG (maximum) per person. Cargo flights, porters and yaks for member’s baggage to base camp and back.
  • Food supply to Base Camp from Kathmandu
  • Full board accommodation at the lodges as per itinerary.
  • Services of base camp manager and climbing Sirdar (chief of Sherpa staffs).
  • 4 bottles of Oxygen per members with a mask set per member.
  • One high altitude Sherpa assigned to each climber to carry all food and gear to higher camps. Sherpa will also accompany and assist the member during climbing and summit attempts with 3 bottles of oxygen and mask set.
  • Common climbing equipment (necessary rope, ice bars, ice screws, etc)
  • Clean Mountain Cans at Camp II. Restop toilet bags for use on mountain.
  • Parabolic Solar Cookers at Base Camp.
  • Sat Phone available at Base camp, with nominal charge for use.
  • Wifi Internet at base camp, but recharge cards must be purchased for use.
  • Weather forecasts.
  • Walkie-talkies for each member and Sherpa partnered team and base unit at Base Camp and Camp 2.
  • Everest ER medical consultation services at the base camp.
  • High altitude tents for all members and climbing Sherpas
  • All food and fuel for Base Camp and higher camps during expedition
  • Services of cook and kitchen boy at Base Camp and cook at Camp 2

  • Expenses incurred towards usage of landlines, mobiles, walkie-talkies, satellite phones and internet expenses
